Kate Beckinsale 'Latex suit flatten me-out'

Kate Beckinsale is playing down her stunning return to form as a sexy vampire in Underworld: Awakening.

The Aviator star says she worked out so as not to look too different from a character she last played eight years ago but had a little help with keeping any lumps and bumps down.

“The thing is with a Latex suit is that it helps flatten everything out so in a way anyone can wear it and look good,” says Kate, 38.

“I did skip lunch a few times because I thought I should but otherwise the suit did the rest for me.”

Kate has previously admitted she’s insecure about her body.

“I’ve always had doubts about my looks. Most women have body issues and I’m no different,” she said.

“At one point I felt as though everyone was out to get me.

“I was having everything examined from my cellulite to my choice of films. I had allowed my self to be flattered when all this talk of breasts started because I assumed it meant I looked good.

“But when I found out it meant I had horrible boobs I was taken aback. I began to wonder why I cared about things which, essentially, don’t matter at all.”
