Angelina Jolie says she's no screamer

Angelina Jolie is no screamer.

The actress who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt has told how she adopted a soft approach to her directing debut for In the Land of Blood and Honey and refused to get tough with her actors.

“I’m not a screamer,” says Angelina. “I would more likely whisper in their ear. It all depends on the subject matter but with this, I didn’t have to teach people because they were teaching me.

“I just had to calm them down and set the right environments so they felt safe.”

Jolie recently claimed she wrote In the Land of Blood during her daughter’s art class.

“A lot of it was written at Shiloh’s art class,” she said.

“I would take her to art class and sit there with my little note pad writing. It’s odd now to see the film and realise that a lot of it was written in a child’s art class because it’s very dark.”
