Naomi Watts 'I was desperate to work with Clint Eastwood'

Naomi Watts has revealed how she put her happy family lifestyle at risk to work with Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood.

The Aussie actress says Dirty Harrystar Clint, her director in biopic J Edgar, was the only person she was willing to put before her strict rule of having family time after each acting project.

“Before I got the call, I’d just finished shooting a movie in Thailand and Spain for six months so there was no way on earth I was going to be working again right away,” explains Naomi who has two children with partner Liev Schreiber.

“The family had been on the road and we needed to just be home. However it was Clint Eastwood and I didn’t want to miss this opportunity. I had wanted to work with Clint for a while. It was three weeks work, so it was doable. It was just amazing even though I was really nervous.”

Naomi recently revealed how her two sons, Alexander, four, and two-year-old Samuel, are left in tears by many of her guises.

“My kids have seen me in some strange makeup,” says Naomi who endured hours in makeup to look like a woman twice her age in upcoming political thriller J Edgar.

“In Thailand, I had blood all over me. So we had to talk about that a lot. In the end they came into the trailer and put fake blood on me. Just so they would understand it. It can be haunting, I think. Then at Holloween, I dressed as a clown and my youngest was in tears again. He really didn’t like it.”
