Robert Downey Jr. wants some sleep!
The Sherlock Holmes star is all too aware of the demands his first child with wife Susan will bring in the New Year and is hoping to get ahead over the holidays.
“I’m really hoping to get about 1,000 hours sleep because I know I’m going to need it,” says Robert who is expected to become a father for the second time in February.
“I know from experience just how valuable sleep is when you’re a parent so I’m hoping to stockpile some!”
Robert who was arrested a number of times on drug-related charges from 1996 to 2001 recently revealed that he once wore a monkey mask to stop people knowing he was “blitzed”.
“About 20 years ago I went on a tear, and I put on a Planet of the Ape mask that would keep people from knowing how blitzed I was,” he said. “It worked for about the first 15 seconds, ‘It’s me, Cornelius!’ “
