Ryan Seacrest to replace Matt Lauer?

Ryan Seacrest is apparently in talks to replace Matt Lauer on the Today show.

NBC’s top executives met with the TV and radio personality Tuesday night to talk about the possibility of joining the show, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Earlier this year, Mr Lauer indicated to NBC executives that he was mulling leaving the show. The network declined to comment on the meeting or any discussions currently underway.

Earlier this year, NBCUniversal merged with ComCast, which owns the E! network where Ryan has a show and producers various reality programs, including the Kardashians’ franchise.
